Profesi Pendidikan Dasar (PPD) is an open-accessed and peer-reviewed scholarly journal published by the Department of Elementary School Teacher Education (PGSD), Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta, in collaboration with Himpunan Dosen PGSD Indonesia (HDPGSDI). PPD focuses on elementary/primary education from an excellent perspective. PPD aims to be a media of communication, information, and discussion of elementary education such as instruction, curriculum, management, guidance and counseling, psychology, and teacher training.

<![CDATA[Abstract: The aims of this research was to determine: (1) difference of attitude of self-reliance learning of PGSD UNISRI students between before and after using peer tutor based on Youtube videos method and (2) effectiveness of using peer tutor based Youtube videos method toward independence attitude of PGSD student of UNISRI. The data of this research are primary data, obtained from questionnaire and documentation. This research is an experimental research. This research used One Group Pretes Posttes Design. Population in the study were all students of PGSD UNISRI Academic year 2016/2017. Sampling technique used in this research is purposive sampling. Instrument validity is tested by means of Construct Validity. Data were analyzed by t-test and N-gain test. T test results obtained sig (2-tailed) of 0,000 whose value is less than 0.05. This means rejecting Ho and it can be concluded that there is a significant difference in the attitude of learning independence before and after using peer tutor based Youtube videos methods. Result of calculation with N-gain that is equal to 0,734 which means effectiveness of using peer tutor based Youtube videos method in improving attitude of independence learn at high criterion.]]>

<![CDATA[Abstract: This research aims to develop and produce Social Studies module. The module leaning material is natural phenomena in Indonesia with scientific approach. The module develops for college-students of Elementary School Teacher Education, Ahmad Dahlan University. This research was a Research and Development. The development of the module is based on Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation (ADDIE). Data collection techniques are interviews, product assessment by experts, and college-students response sheets. The instruments of this research are 1) interview guideline to get preliminary information on the analysis of needs in the Elementary School Teacher Education Program; 2) product assessment sheet which is in the form of assessment sheet by expert judgment and expert input in the FGD, and 3)college-students response sheet to understand the module's practicality. The results of the research show the module’s feasibility by the material and learning experts with an average score of 120, with "very good" criteria. The study of feasibility by media experts obtains an average score of 83, with "very good" criteria. Based on the assessment of 10 college-students obtained n = 87.86%, with the module criteria of "very practical". It can be concluded that the module developed is very feasible, in accordance to the assessment of the experts and college-students response.]]>

<![CDATA[Abstract: The purpose of this study was to know the role of teachers in the management of learning in the classroom at MI Muhammadiyah PK Kartasura. The research was conducted through qualitative approach. Data were collected by interview, observation, and documentation. The research data was validated by triangulation technique. Data were analyzed through three stages: data reduction, data display, conclusions drawing / verification. This study concludes that the role of teachers in implementing the teaching and learning process is a key element in the management of learning. At MI Muhammadiyah PK Kartasura, teachers should plan, implement and evaluate learning and build good inter-relationships among all members of the learning process. Teachers must also act as facilitators, motivators, demonstrators, mediators and evaluators, in the management of innovative classes. One of the indicators of learning management in innovative classes at MIM PK Kartasura was student-centered learning.]]>

<![CDATA[AbstractThe purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of science learning in simple aircraft material using Pair Check assisted learning questions. Question Card for fifth grade students of SDN Sukoharjo 01 Pati. This research is quantitative. The research method using one group pretest-posttest design. Based on the results of the analysis data obtained the initial test or pre-test conducted by researchers obtained data on average class 60.59259 there were 25 students did not complete KKM 75 with students who completed only 2 students. Then the class was given treatment, namely Natural Science learning about Simple Aircraft material using the Pair Check assisted Question Card model. Learning outcomes obtained by students after the treatment of post-test scores showed that class V obtained an average of 78.81481 with students completing 22 and who had not completed 5 students. In the final analysis of calculations using t test is obtained if α = 0.05 and db = N-1 = 27-1 = 26 obtained t table = 2.056 and thitung = 14.578. If thitung t table, then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, so Pair Check is assisted with an effective Question Card towards the learning outcomes of class V students of SDN Sukoharjo 01 Pati. ]]>

<![CDATA[Abstract: The aim of this paper is to describe the development and validation of test instrument that measure students’ visual perception and linguistic awareness. This is a part of a bigger study of quasi-experiment research which investigates the use of story reading through big book towards primary school students’ visual perception and linguistic awareness. The content validity is done by the expert judgment. Besides, items validity obtained from the trial tested to the first grader of primary schools. There are two sets of questions that consist of the same indicators but different question. 33 students fill set 1 and 30 students fill set 2. The result of expert validation is 87%, meanwhile, the item validity shows valid and invalid items. The researcher combined set 1 and set 2 to get the representation item from all indicators. The test reliability is in the good level. Based on these findings, the implication is that the instrument could be used due to its validity and reliability in measuring students' visual perception and linguistic awareness.]]>

<![CDATA[Abstract: The purpose of this research was to describe the implementation of friendly school children in Muhammadiyah Alam Surya Mentari Elementary School of Surakarta. The research methods used qualitative method because the data presented are words. If seen from the problems studied, this research is a descriptive research. Data was collected by interviewing, observing, and documentation. Validate data with triangulation of sources and methods. The data in this research are information from principals, teachers and students at Muhammadiyah Alam Surya Mentari Elementary School of Surakarta The results of the research describe that in the new student Admission there is no special selection, especially in terms of academic for students who register, this school also proved to receive children with special needs, while in the process of learning teacher always use a variety of learning methods with interesting media and teachers evaluate at the end of the chapters and end sub themes, midterm exam, final exam, and tasks. For student practice, students are helped by a worksheet prepared by the teacher. The results of this research explained that Muhammadiyah Alam Surya Mentari Elementary School of Surakarta has completed the indikator that must be owned by Child Friendly School.]]>

<![CDATA[Abstract: This study aims to determine the effect of the use of modules in thematic learning on the learning outcomes in SD Negeri 1 Jimbung. This is quantitative research. Data collection techniques use tests, both pretest and posttest. Data analysis using paired test of t-test and gain test. The result of paired sample t-test to the value of pretest and posttest obtained sig value equal to 0.000 which is smaller than 5% significance level, that is 0.000 0.05 so there is difference, that result of posttest value higher than at result of pretest value. The difference in student learning outcomes can be seen from the gain test which has an average of 0.407, including the category of "moderate increase". So it can be concluded that the use of the module affects the improvement of learning outcomes of thematic learning of students in grade IV in SD Negeri 1 Jimbung.]]>

<![CDATA[Abstract: This research aims to produce learning media in the form of mathematics module 3 with cooperative learning type numbered head together (NHT) to improve student learning achievement of PGSD in response aspect. students towards developed Modules. This research is a Research and Development (R D) which using ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) model with Math Module 3 product using cooperative learning type numbered head together (NHT). The development process was done by several stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The development model used is a procedural development model, which is a descriptive model, outline the steps to be followed to produce the product. The results showed the quality of Mathematics Module 3 with cooperative learning type numbered head together (NHT) in good category with the percentage of idealization of 73.06% with the detail of content feasibility component in both category with the percentage of 71,39% of the idealization, the linguistic component in good category with the percentage of 74.55% of the idealization, and so are the components of the presentation in either category with an ideal percentage of 74.76%. Response to this module belongs to the category of positive responses with a score of 63.69 from the ideal maximum score of 80. Based on the post-test value, Mathematics 3 module with cooperative learning type numbered head together (NHT) has been successful in improving learning achievement by post-test score of 77.09.]]>

<![CDATA[Abstract: This study aimed to describe the perception of elementary school teachers Kanisius Branch of Central Java and Yogyakarta about the success in implementing the curriculum 2013. This study was descriptive research. The subjects were 65 teachers in Central Java and Yogyakarta under the Kanisius Foundation. The data were collected through questionares and interviews. The instrument validity was assessed by triangulation methods. The data were analyzed using the descriptive analysis technique. The results of the study show that the succes in 2013th curriculum implementation were government, institution, teacher, parent and student. The success that comes from the teacher has a percentage of 27.5%. Student-generated success has a percentage of 31.2%. Successes from the government have a percentage of 15.9%. The success that comes from the institution has a percentage of 10.9%. Finally, the success that comes from parents has a percentage of 14.5%.]]>

<![CDATA[Abstrak: This research aimed to describe the child-friendly school policy in two child-friendly pilot primary schools. This research concern: “How does the implementation of child-friendly school policy based child rights at primary school?†The method that used in this research was a qualitative type of phenomenology. The data were collected by observation method, interview, and documentation. The data analysis technique that used was phenomenology research data analysis of Burke Johnson and Larry Christensen. The results showed that there were 3 discoveries related to child-friendly school policies in primary schools. First, the child-friendly school policies were designed and implemented to ensure children's rights were fulfilled. Second, the child-friendly school policies were implemented in learning area, the school social environments, the school’s physical environment, and infrastructure facilities. Third, the child-friendly school policies were applied to create condition conducive and fun in school.]]>
